Casa Azul

Casa Azul is the newest Casa (house) at Oliver-Pyatt Centers, first opening its doors in 2013 and moving to its newest location in 2016. In Casa Azul, we approach you as a human being first, unique in your challenges and gifts and unique in your journey to recovery. The entire team works together to create an effective treatment experience for each patient. With no more than 12 patients in Azul, Clinical Director Dr. Tali Yuz-Berliner oversees the team of clinicians that are treating the women, while maintaining a close relationship with each of the 12 women. Embedded in our culture is a philosophy of collaboration – among our team members and with our patients’ outpatient providers. Casa Azul’s experienced multidisciplinary team takes a holistic approach to get our patients on the path to long-term health and sustained recovery.

While Oliver-Pyatt Centers programming and care is consistent in all three of our women’s casas, there may be clinical, insurance or availability factors that will guide our staff in matching our women in the right house for them.

A LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR:

You are loved and accepted just as you are from the moment you walk in our door. I am honored to be the Casa Azul Clinical Director and have the opportunity, along with the dedicated and compassionate staff, to support you as you take the next brave steps towards recovery. Deciding to come to treatment takes courage and strength and can also come with a lot of fear – fear of the unknown, fear of coping without your eating disorder, fear of your true self, etc. I often say you can hold your fear and still take a step forward and that is exactly what you are doing by considering to come to treatment. Please know we will meet you just where you are in your process when you arrive and we will start to take the first steps together. I can assure you there will be tears and also promise you there will be laughter. I look forward to supporting you and your loved ones on your journey.
