Day Treatment

DAY TREATMENT PROGRAMS, which include partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP), allow patients to have increased independence not experienced at the residential level, including exposure to community and experiences that support them as they work toward freedom from the eating disorder. Our eating disorder day programs can treat all major disorders, from Binge Eating Disorder to Anoerxia Nervosa.

LED BY EXPERTS in eating disorder day treatment, our intensive outpatient programs utilize a comprehensive treatment approach to provide the tools and skills needed to live a life free from food and weight preoccupation. As with all day treatment programs for adults at Oliver-Pyatt Centers, you can expect an environment of care and trust that respects the integrity of the individual.

THE EVENING IOP at our day treatment center is available to women living in the South Florida community, who will attend work or school during the day. Patients will continue to work with their outpatient treatment professionals and we will work closely and collaboratively with them. If a patient does not have a complete team established at the time of admission, we can provide referrals.

When a patient is ready to fully leave our care, we provide EXTENSIVE AFTERCARE PLANNING to address her ongoing treatment and recovery needs. We develop an aftercare plan based on a thorough assessment of the biopsychosocial environment she will face upon her return home, factoring in family dynamics, spirituality and individual life goals.

Day Treatment Components Include:

  • THOROUGH ASSESSMENT UPON INTAKE
  • INDIVIDUALIZED TREATMENT PLAN (PHP, IOP), FOCUSED ON: Development of life skills, self-care, self-responsibility, accountability and integrity | Improved ability to cope with anxiety, interpersonal conflict and eating disordered thoughts and urges

  • INDIVIDUAL AND/OR FAMILY PSYCHOTHERAPY WITH MASTER’S- OR DOCTORAL-LEVEL THERAPIST (PHP: THREE SESSIONS WEEKLY | IOP: ONE TO TWO SESSIONS WEEKLY)
