Dr. Melissa McLain is a licensed psychologist specializing in eating disorders. Serving as Clinical Director of Oliver-Pyatt Centers since 2OO8, she has extensive experience in the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and compulsive over-exercise. She received her doctoral degree in counseling psychology from the University of Southern California, and completed her pre- and postdoctoral training at the Univer- sity of California, Davis, as an eating disorder specialist and multidisciplinary team coordinator.

Dr. McLain is an active board member of the Miami-Dade NEDA committee, and a member of several other professional organizations. She has presented nationally on eating disorders, body image, food rules, and self-care at conferences by the National Eating Disorder Association, the Binge Eating Disorder Association, and the International Association for Eating Disorder Professionals. Her daily work is dedicated to providing and overseeing the successful treatment of women working towards recovery.

Dr. McLain combines clinical expertise with warmth and insight. She joined Oliver-Pyatt Centers because she believes in Dr. Oliver-Pyatt’s vision for treatment and recovery.
