Lisa Schachter, MS, RD, is a registered dietitian and nutrition consultant. With over 20 years of experience, Lisa has expertise in all phases of nutritional counseling and teaching. She provides individualized counseling specializing in a non-diet approach, working with clients to address a variety of weight and eating related issues. She specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and has experience in working with eating disorder patients in both the in-patient and out-patient settings. Using an intuitive and mindful eating method, she assists individuals in breaking away from restrictive diets and guides them in learning self-acceptance and self-regulation of food and weight.
As a sports nutritionist, she also works with competitive and recreational athletes of all levels. Lisa is an avid runner and cyclist and she is the team nutritionist for the Miami Feet Running Club, Leukemia Society Team in Training, and Team Footworks, and provides sports nutrition clinics throughout the year for South Florida runners, cyclists, and triathletes.
She is a nationally registered and Florida licensed dietitian and also a member of the American Dietetic Association; the Miami Dietetic Association; as well as the Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group; and the Nutrition Entrepreneurs Practice Group.
